5th Annual AHA Food Drive
The 5th Annual AHA Food Drive for the benefit of the Johnnycake Center of Westerly will take place from Friday August 29, 2025 through Tuesday September 2, 2025. In addition to nonperishable, unopened food items, the Johnnycake Center has a specific need for the following:

Coffee
Tea
Canned Meats
Condiments
Crackers
Canned soup
Canned vegetables
Canned fruit​
Cereal
​
Collection tables for the drive will be placed at the following four locations:
​
-- The Avondale Chapel
-- 36 Avondale Road
-- 3 Champlin Drive
-- 6 Sheperds Run

On June 2, 2021, AHA President John Townsend hosted an entertaining evening of five current and former residents of Avondale to recount tales from their past about life in Avondale. AHA resident Paul Dewey recorded the gathering to preserve these memories and we are now pleased to share that hour with everyone online.
